Sesi Libat Urus – Technical Skills Learning (TSL)

Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Pulau Pinang (JPNPP) and Penang STEM jointly organised a Engagement Session with about 180 Secondary School principals and senior officers from JPNPP to brief on Technical Skill Learning (TSL) at PSDC today (Mar 06).

JPN pengarah Tuan Hj Abdul Said delivered the welcome address.

Also in attendance were senior officers from Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK) and Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) who are supporting the TSL initiative which is aimed at offering 2-years of basic skills learning for upper secondary school students leading to post-SPM work-study options for students with Industry.

There was enthusiastic response from the school principals to the detailed briefings by Project Advisor Dr Bugs Tan and En Shahrul Nizam from JPK on the background of the initiative and how it will benefit students.

The programme is earmarked to commence in the upcoming academic year.
