The launch of AI Fundamentals Programme @MBPP Maker Space, Taman Harapan
The AI Fundamentals Programme @MBPP Maker Space, Taman Harapan was successfully launched by YB Tuan Jagdeep Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister II of Penang and Chairman of Penang STEM, marking a significant step forward in empowering young minds from the community with future-ready digital & AI skills.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang (MBPP) for their generous sponsorship and continuous support in making this initiative possible at their Maker Space.
Datuk Bandar, Dato’ Ir Rajendran P. Anthony, in his welcome speech, thanked parents from the community for supporting the council’s initiative which is in line with their motto “Leading We Serve”.
YB Jagdeep, in his keynote address, thanked Penang STEM for initiating the AI Fundamentals programme and congratulated MBPP for the partnership which shall help shape the next generation of innovators through AI education.
Besides AI Fundamentals which is offered to Upper Primary students, Penang STEM currently also offers 2 other structured STEM programmes in schools, namely StepUP: WizKids for Lower Secondary and Technical Skill Learning for Upper Secondary students.
All programmes have been endorsed by Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Pulau Pinang as extra-curricular STEM programmes for selected schools.
